Beginning Beaded Necklace with Wire-Wrapped Pendant with Susan Smathers (CL-SS932)

The objectives of this class are to give the students the necessary terminology and to know the tools and supplies needed to create beautiful jewelry. Susan will provide materials for the students at a cost of $5 each, but she will also advise them on places to purchase supplies, both in stores and on-line, so they can create their own after the class is over. Students will learn how to choose a pendant and how to design it into a necklace using wire, crimp tubes and beads. Students will also learn how to use a crimper and how to add the clasp. All the necessary skills will be taught so students can make necklaces on their own.

Students need to register and pre-pay early since materials are provided.

Come and have a good time making a lovely necklace for a gift or maybe for yourself. Its never as difficult as it looks, and it is so rewarding to make a one-of-a-kind, hand-made necklace.

Fluid Art with More Techniques with Susan Rowland (CL-SR940)

The first class was so much fun, and we had an overflow of students wanting to sign up for it, so Susan agreed to teach it again. However there will be some new techniques in this one so those of you who took the first can repeat. You will learn 2 basic techniques including the Tree Ring, creating 2 10×12 canvases plus. Fluid Art or Acrylic Pouring is one of the newest crazes at this time. Please join us! It’s always fun to paint! You do not have to be an “artist” to dabble in Fluid Art so feel free to give it a try! Bring an apron or wear paint clothes. It can be messy!

These are a few samples of the students work in the first class.
