LB JOY CREATIONS

In a junior high art class, we were given an assignment to “Draw something in your home.” I opened the doors under our kitchen sink and depicted what I saw there which received recognition. That was my first attempt at art. I had a very good instructor. I did a few pieces that year in different mediums and did well in the eyes of the art judges, and I flourished under her endearment and instruction. After junior high, I continued to grow in my art ability having been sparked by her encouragement.

Work and practical living took their place in my life, but in 1995 I had a drastic change when I took a short mission trip to Costa Rica.  I fell in love with the country.  I went back a couple more times for longer visits until moving there permanently.

During that time, the hostess being an oil painter, opened the doors for my oil painting expression. Once I moved to Tennessee many years later, I took what I learned with me, and that is what you see here today.  I hope you enjoy my art.
