A warm greeting to everyone. My name is Lori Bowers. I am a freelance photographer, artist, and writer. After leaving a career in the academic world, I moved back to my hometown of Crossville.
I have always enjoyed photography, even developing my own prints in a darkroom setting. After my first exhibition in college, I was hooked. Once back in Crossville, I decided to form Crows Chase Creations. Eventually, I overcame decades of self-doubt and began painting, with abstract landscapes being my favorite to create.
In 2022, I discovered junk journaling and love the aspect of upcycling paper and cardboard items that might otherwise be thrown out. I enjoy teaching ideas and techniques to others who are interested in learning more about this paper artform. With so many creative outlets, I soon came to realize that creating art, in whatever form, is therapy for our souls.
