After retiring for a second time here in TN, Dave Bartel decided to pick-up an old hobby. His wood turning creations are one of a kind. All wood is sourced from the South, mostly in TN. All are sanded and finished for food use. The only drawback is that these creations don’t like the dishwasher or the microwave. Many are from rare pieces of trees and others you are quite familiar with, such as the Eastern Red Cedar which is actually called Juniper. This is the aromatic cedar that can be used in drawers and closets to prevent moths from ruining your clothes.

Dave does take requests for specific woods in a particular design; however, all pieces are decided by the wood (not him). He hopes you find something you like or call him for special requests.
