ELM Custom Leather has been in business since 1980 making the expected belts and wallets, peppered with bigger gigs such as saddle making and supplying the furniture industry with leather straps. Fun custom jobs have included guitar straps to match a guitar; checkbook cover with matching card case, a bible bag with hidden gun holster, phone cases tailored to the ever-changing electronics world, and a slew of custom fitted holsters and knife sheathes. The most creative was a scenic picture of a tobacco field for the birthday of…. (You guessed it!) a tobacco farmer. We offer an assortment of items such as dog collars, eyeglass cases, lipstick cases, valentine chocolates box, clocks, notebook covers, playing card cases, ID badges, passport wallets, baseballs, hats, hat bands and even leather jewelry.
ELM is unique from other leather merchants in that the entire process is handmade. From the cutting, design, tooling, sewing, staining, and painting, you can see and feel the quality. We have sold items at craft fairs and festivals, consignment, and craft shops, and soon, our first online shop! Our orders come through “word of mouth” from family, friends and returning customers! Help us spread the word, that an authentic craftsman is getting ‘er done to your specifications, the American Way!
Now, if you want your very own tobacco scenery, let’s talk!
